D-Day Paratrooper Jumps Again

Does it stretch the definition of assistive technology to include parachutes? Ninety-three-year-old 101st Airborne veteran Jim “Pee Wee” Martin just recreated the jump he made as a young paratrooper.

Today, on the 70th anniversary of D-Day, we are grateful to Martin and his fellow veterans for the sacrifices they made as young men–and the inspiration they give as old men. “I just want to show all the people that you don’t have to sit and die just because you get old,” says Martin.
